Australia Awards Masters-level Scholarships 2027 for study in Australia (Fully Funded)
Applications are currently open for the Australia Awards Scholarships 2026, a highly respected scholarship programme funded by the Australian Government. The initiative aims to support talented professionals from developing countries by giving them the opportunity to pursue postgraduate education in Australia. The programme helps scholars develop knowledge, leadership skills, and professional networks that enable them to contribute to development and positive change in their home countries.
The scholarship is open to applicants from several African countries, including **Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ethiopia, Uganda, Zambia, and others. To qualify, applicants must be at least 25 years old by 1 February 2026, have a minimum of five years of relevant post-graduate work experience, and must be employed at the time of applying. Candidates must also hold a recognized bachelor’s degree, meet the required English language proficiency (such as IELTS 6.5 or equivalent), and must not already hold or be pursuing a Master’s degree.
The programme supports Master’s degree studies at Australian universities in priority areas such as agriculture and food security, climate change, foreign policy and international security, gender, disability and social inclusion, and mining and energy.
Successful recipients receive comprehensive funding, including return airfare, full tuition fees, a living allowance, health insurance, an establishment allowance on arrival, and academic support. In some cases, additional support may also be provided for research fieldwork and accommodation needs for scholars with disabilities.
