
Overview:
Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) is a continent‑wide entrepreneurial competition dedicated to identifying, supporting, and inspiring African entrepreneurs who are driving impact, creating jobs, and building sustainable, inclusive businesses. Each year, ten outstanding finalists are selected to compete in a Grand Finale pitch competition for a share of $1.5 million in grant funding.

Total prize pool: $1.5 million
Winner: $300,000
1st Runner‑Up: $250,000
2nd Runner‑Up: $150,000
Seven Other Finalists: $100,000 each
Additional: $100,000 allocated for global immersion training and networking opportunities.
Finalists also receive extensive exposure through media features, mentorship from business leaders, access to the ABH entrepreneurial community, training programs, and ongoing support to help scale their businesses beyond the competition.
Eligibility:
To qualify for the ABH competition, applicants must:
Be the Founder or Co‑Founder of the business.
Be an African citizen or a direct descendant (child/grandchild) of an African citizen.
Have a business that is registered, headquartered, and primarily operating in an African country.
Have a business with at least three years of operational track record and revenue.

Register an ABH account on the official site.
Provide required business information and documentation.
Submit a short video introduction of the applicant and their business.
