The Young Climate Prize 2026 – The World Around

What it is

It is not a normal scholarship or study programme. Instead, it is:

• A climate innovation competition + leadership programme

• A mentorship accelerator

• A global platform for young climate founders to grow their projects

It focuses on young people who are already running real climate projects, not just ideas.

Location

• 🌍 Worldwide (global programme)

• No fixed country or campus

• Selected participants may later travel (for example, to New York for presentations)

So it is fully international and remote in application, but with possible travel for finalists.

Duration

It runs like a multi-month to multi-year mentorship cycle:

• Applications → June 2026

• Selection → September 2026

• Mentorship / Design Academy → ~3 months

• Ongoing fellowship support continues for years after selection

So it is not a short event — it becomes a long-term support network.
